About Resala Academy

Al Resala Academy is the Special Needs Division of Resala Bilingual School. Our highly qualified staff is comitted to meeting highest international standards in the education of students with special needs. Our program has received an A rating from the Public Authority for People with Disabilities, Ministry of Education.

Our Mission

We believe that all children should receive the support needed to develop to their highest potential and to become fully functioning members of Society.

Philosophy and Purpose

Al Resala Academy’s Philosophy is based on the belief that each child has the right to quality education in safe and supportive learning environment. Our pupil to teacher ratio is 8/2 and we offer individualized programs and support services to maximize the potential of each child.

The Educational Program

Our Academy’s Curriculum is based on academic standards and expectations set by the Ministry of Education, Ontario, Canada.

Our highly qualified teachers, therapists, and instructors provide programs, individualized to meet the needs of students. Student learning goals are supported by an Individual Education Plan (IEP). As appropriate to the age and functional level of the child, we offer the ASDAN, UK programs of applied academic and life skills experiences approved by the Kuwait Ministry of Education

Admission and Registration Policy

Priority for acceptance will be given to siblings of students already in Al Resala Bilingual School or In Al Resala Academy. For enrollment, students must be at least 3 years and six months of age at the beginning of the school year.

Admission and Registration Procedure

Ask for an Assessment

Make an appointment for your child to be assessed at Al Resala Academy. If the assessment is successful and there is a vacancy in a suitable class, the child will be accepted.

Submit Required Documents

  • Diagnostic report from the Ministry of health
  • Approval from the Public Authority for People with Disabilities (Kuwaitis only)
  • An Evaluation report from an educational or clinical psychologist, a medical specialist or an educational specialist.

Final Student Registration

Once the student’s letter of acceptance has been signed and all documents are in the students file, the acceptance process will be complete.

Our Highly Qualified Staff

  • Meet or exceed government requirements (Special Education degrees and certificates) for education, training and experience.
  • Work to support the individual needs of each child.
  • Offer programs that address the “whole child” addressing academic, social, emotional and developmental needs.
  • Team together to create a positive learning environment in the classroom and in the school.

8.00 a.m. – 1.30 p.m. (from Sunday to Thursday)

School Busses

Al Resala Academy provides bus transportation service for students through an independent agent. Interested parents can make arrangements through the bus agent, Extension - 12
